The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

I am a huge fantasy fan, and I just love this movie for it's completely crazy story. It's also visually amazing. Some of the scenes make me think of the "Charlie and the chocolate factory" movie... if you watch it you'll see what I mean! The cast is great... actually Heath Ledger died while the movie was being produced so they had to suspend it temporairly and then replaced him with Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Collin Farrell. Any way... GREAT film by Terry Gillam

Sunday Funday!

My friend Philippe Girard was sweet enough to take some photos of me in this lovely outfit :) We went wandering around my neighbourhood and ended up finding this tiny little house (actually it seemed as though a homeless person might be living there) and took a few pictures in the woods near it. The light was perfect but the it was so cold!

Dimanche jour de ~~repos~~ photo!

Mon adorable ami Philippe Girard a pris quelque photos de ce petit ensemble :) On s'est baladé près de chez moi et on est tombé sur une toute petite maisonnette (on vivait certainement un SDF). Nous avons fait des photos dans les bois qui l'entouraient. La lumière était vraiment belle mais il faisait tellement froid! J'ai cru que j'allais perdre mes doigts!

Déjà une semaine que je suis a New York. Tellement de choses se sont passées, je me réjouis de faire un post a propos de mon voyage! En attendant, j'ai découvert cette chanson, grâce à une amie d'enfance. Et j'ai vraiment adore la musique ainsi que la vidéo. J'espère que vous apprécierez!

HOTEL BELLA TOLA

Last weekend my dad & I did an early X-mas together. . .

He spoilt me rotten and took me to this beautiful Hotel/Spa called Hotel Bella Tola. It we had a bit of trouble getting there because it's in a ski station in the Swiss alps and my father didn't plan on there being so much snow on the roads...hrmm hrmm... I'll admit I was a nervous reck

But once we got there, it was breathtaking, everything was done in a historic decor. The staff was really pleasant. The food was simply amazing, I could sell my soul for the breakfast buffet (I am kidding (: )

The spa was lovely as well. A very relaxing weekend for me and although quite expensive for my father.

So if you decide you want to spend some special time with someone or just alone, I definitely recommend this place.

Le weekend passé j'ai feté Noel en avance avec mon pere...

Il m'a VRAIMENT gâtée et m'a amené dans ce magnifique Hôtel/spa la Bella Tola. Nous avons eu un peu de mal à y arriver parce que c'est dans une station de ski dans les Alpes suisses et mon père n'a pas pensé qu'il y aurait autant de neige sur les routes ... Hrmmmmm ... J'avoue que j'étais une boules de nerfs

Mais une fois que nous y sommes arrivés, c'était à couper le souffle, tout dans un décor historique. Le personnel était vraiment super. La nourriture était tout simplement incroyable, je pourrais vendre mon âme pour le petit déjeuner (je plaisante (:)

Le spa était génial aussi, hamman, sauna, jacuzzi inclus :) Un week-end très relaxant pour moi et assez cher pour mon père.

Donc, si vous voulez passer un moment de détente avec quelqu'un ou juste seul, je vous conseille vraiment cet endroit. Attention les prix sont ceux d'un hotel 4 étoiles !

Je n'en dis pas plus car vraiment les photos parlent pour elles-memes, les voila (PS j'écris depuis NY donc c'est pas top pour les accents etc désolée)

I am going to New York City for the holidays =) Spending New Year's Eve there is just going to be amazing. I am really looking forward to it.

If anyone has any good tips for me, I am definitely listening! (Food, shopping, night clubs, bars, anything!)

For those of you who don't know, I grew up on Long Island, NY any only moved back to Switzerland in spring 2003. I went back to NY for the first time since I moved, two years ago. It was mostly a sentimental trip. Walking down memory lane and seeing my childhood friends!

I will be making a big post about my trip when I get back, will all the places I would recommend etc etc. I am looking forward to doing that! I do need to find myself a decent camera though, can anybody recommend one to me?

For now enjoy some of my pics frome the last time I went!

GOODIES

I've done quite alot of shopping in my life =) and loads these last two years. So I have tons to keep me going on the goodies articles. I've picked out some of my favorite things to show to you guys

J'ai fait beaucoup de shopping dans ma vie =) surtout ces deux dernières années. Donc j'ai des tonnes de choses pour maintenir mes articles goodies. J'ai choisi quelques un mes articles préférés pour vous montrer

1) Leaf necklace from Iam: Ever since I bought this necklace I just can't stop wearing it. I'll wear it in one of my next outfits posts, so you can see what it looks like when worn. I keep wondering if it doesn't annoy my colleagues at work when I wear it since it makes alot a noise when I move =) Ooops!

2) Green pocketbook from Iam: I really think that this bag is a pocketbook, because I can't even fit my wallet into it (okay one of my wallet :3 ) but I love the color and style. I must admit it's not very practical because the strap is hooked on to the flap so it open easily

3) Nail polish from Catrice: I am a terrible nail polish person because when I finally decide to put some on, I leave it on for AGES and the finally I get embarrssed and end up taking it off. Which which obviously didn't keep me from buying these two! I love the metally colors. And they're not expensive at all! CHF 4-5

4) Vest from H&M: So I usually only find my basics and accessories at H&M but when I came across this vest first I stopped and looked at it and was like "Ughh who would wear that" and then walked passed it a few more time and ended up trying then buying. It's really the kind of item that ends up growing on you and I've had loads of compliments on this one!

5) Mittens and hairband from H&M: Knitting is really big this season and I must say I completely approve! First all it means we don't have to freeze our cockles off while trying to be fashionable (yes I have done that before! and my mother always uses the expression cockles if you're wondering) Anyway I am also totally fan of these headband things, it might be because I have short hair now so it's easy to wear. I feel like a princess when I wear them... don't ask me why :)

6) Leather red "Richelieues": I am ridiculously picky for shoes, so when I finally found these I was sooo pleased! I got themfor about CHF 65 on Zalando and they are leather. It was a good deal. I also got a really cool pair of laced up brown leather boots but those will probably come out in a outfit post soon =)

1) Collier à feuille d'Iam: Depuis que j'ai acheté ce collier, je n'arrête pas de le porter. Je vais le mettre dans un de mes posts mode prochainement, afin que vous puissiez voir à quoi il ressemble lorsqu'il est porté. D'ailleurs à chaque fois je me demande s'il ne gêne pas mes collègues de travail quand je le porte, car il fait beaucoup de bruit =) Oups!
2) Petit sac vert d'Iam: Je pense que ce sac devrai plutôt s'appeler pochette, parce que je peux même pas y mettre mon porte-monnaie (ok... un de mon porte-monnaie: 3), mais j'aime la couleur et le style. Je dois admettre que ce n'est pas très pratique car la bandoulière est accrochée sur le dessus

3) Vernis à ongles à partir Catrice: je suis pas du tout quelqu'un adapté à porter du vernis parce que quand je décide enfin d'en mettre un peu, je le laisse pendant des siècles et je fini seulement par l'enlever quand j'ai honte. Ce qui, évidemment, ne m'a pas empêché d'acheter ces deux! J'aime les couleurs "métaleuses". Et ils ne sont pas chers! CHF 4-5

4) Gilet de H & M: Alors, d'habitude j'achète seulement mes basiques et accessoires chez H & M, mais quand je suis tombé sur cette veste, la première fois je me suis dit "Ughh qui porteraient ça" et ensuite en passant devant plusieurs fois j'ai fini par l'essayer puis l'acheter. C'est vraiment le genre d'élément qu'on "apprend" à aimer. BREF en plus j'ai eu des tas de compliments!

5) Mouffles et bandeau de H & M: Le tricot est vraiment "in" cette saison et je dois dire que j'approuve! D'abord ça veut dire que nous n'avons pas besoin de se les geler en essayant d'être belle (oui je l'ai déjà fait!) Bref je suis aussi totalement fan de ces serre-têtes, p't'être parce que j'ai les cheveux courts maintenant donc facile à porter. Je me sens comme une princesse quand je les porte ... ne me demandez pas pourquoi :)

6) Richelieues rouges de Zalando: Bon j'avoue... je suis ridiculement peinible pour les chaussures, alors quand j'ai enfin trouvé celles-ci j'étais aux anges! (j'exagère un peu ^^ ) Je les aies eu pour environ 65 francs et elles sont en cuir. C'était une bonne affaire. J'ai aussi achetée une paire de bottes marron à lacés en cuir, mais ils viendront probablement dans un poste de vêtement bientôt =)

So here it is, my first post...

My motto is as follows: We are all Queens, we deserve the best. And sometimes that means taking care of yourself and so my motto continues: Love yourself, accept yourself, forgive yourself and be good to yourself

I think these two sentences speak for themselves. In life there is only one absolute constant and that is you! And that alone is a perfect reason for being good to yourself, loving youself, etc etc! After all you'll be sticking around all the time :-)

So this is what this blog is based on. My posts might be about fashion, cinema, theatre, photography, music, news, sport, beauty, psychology and whatever else crosses my mind.

Alors voilà, mon premier post ...
Ma devise est la suivante: Nous sommes toutes des Reines, nous méritons ce qu'il y a de mieux. Et parfois, cela signifie prendre soin de soi et donc ma devise continue: S'aimer, S'accepter, Se pardonner et être bon avec soi-même

Je pense que ces deux phrases parlent d'elles-mêmes. Dans la vie il n'ya qu'une seule constante, et c'est vous! Et cela seul est une raison parfaite pour être bon avec soi-même, s'aimer, etc etc! Après tout, vous allez passer beaucoup de temps avec vous-même! :-)

C'est donc ce sur quoi ce blog est basé. Mes postes pourraient être sur la mode, cinéma, théâtre, photographie, musique, actualité, sport, beauté, psychologie et tout ce qui me traverse l'esprit.
